After that long, hot summer, Brooke & Gus ordered some perfect weather for their wedding weekend, and mother nature delivered! So much fun at the absolutely GORGEOUS (but boring named) Lenexa Conference Center.
As I was leaving to shoot GJ’s senior photos the other night, my wife reminded me that we met him when he was 4. Whoa. We had a bunch of fun shooting on the soccer field and park, and even got some cool clouds to help out.
I saw on Twitter the other day that our dear friends Jen and Dave’s son B had an awesome mohawk. So we needed a family session.
How sweet is this little girl? And how much do I LOVE getting to photograph families as they grow? I was privileged to get to shoot Jacob and Amanda’s wedding a little while back. Now I get to help document the next exciting chapter in their lives.
100+ temperatures did NOT stop Laura, Zach, and their friends and family from having an awesome day!
14 years ago today, I married my best friend. I knew she was pretty great, but I had no idea whom she would turn out to be. I’ve never seen anyone give of herself more than Jennifer. Someday, our kids will GET IT: just how much she has given to them. She endlessly teaches, plays, encourages, comforts, cares, and loves them. Endlessly. Oh yeah, and she does the same for me. I spent last year trying to get a new business off the ground. I’m an entrepreneur at heart, and I’ll always be. The business didn’t work. Forces beyond our […]
I’ve had the honor of photographing Anastasia for several years…we’ve become good friends. (I’m kind of partial to her parents too, known her dad since college!)
Laura and Zach were in town for some wedding planning, so we got together to hang out at Union Station. Can’t wait for their wedding this summer!
You know what’s awesome? A beautiful, fun, thoughtful wedding. You know what’s also awesome? A beautiful, fun, thoughtful couple getting married. You know what’s awesomer than awesome? When you get both in the same day. After the ceremony at one of KC’s most beautiful churches (Visitation Parish), everyone headed down the road to Morgan’s mom and dad’s house for a reception under the stars…in a clear-roofed tent! Catering and event planning was all orchestrated by the talented folks at Webster House. Be sure to check out the sweet wedding film teaser from Maura.
A couple days after she was born, I got to spend some more time with sweet little H. She was so, so good…especially when dad turned on the vacuum.
I’ve been wanting to document a birth for a while. After a recent (incredible) workshop experience, I knew I was ready. After coaching my wife through her three births, I already knew that the emotion present at a baby’s welcoming is pretty much unrivaled. Jessie and Chris were kind and open enough to allow me to accompany them as they gave birth for the first time. I’ll let the images do the rest of the talking.
Check out this little cutie! Can’t wait to watch her grow over the next year!
Brooke & Gus were in town for one of our fantastic weekends, so we took advantage of the beautiful weather to head out to KU for their engagement session. Gus played baseball at KU, so naturally we HAD to head out to the baseball stadium!
Jessie & Chris are having a baby! A couple years ago, I was honored to photograph their wedding, and now I get to spend the next year photographing their baby. I can’t wait!
I have been working on this for months, and I am ECSTATIC to finally unveil our new album! This is a completely hand-crafted album, locally produced here in the Crossroads Arts District. I start with a canvas cover and premium watercolor pages, all hand printed at my studio, then work with a local artisan to bind everything into a beautiful heirloom album. Our usual January album sale is a March/April album sale this year. From now through April 15, you can take 20% off any album…so if you were married or had a kiddo/family session last year, now is the […]
