Julie, Doug, and D

I got to photograph this awesome family earlier this fall, then AGAIN for their holiday photos…Lucky me! How cute is this little guy?!?

Dondzila Family

So here’s a funny story for you. Many years ago, I called my new friend Andy. You young kids won’t understand this, but at the time we had what we called land-line phones. They did, however, have a new technology called Caller ID. My name popped up on Andy’s home phone caller ID. His wife, Laura, inquired who was this girl, Stacey, calling her husband?!? It’s been WAY too long since I had the opportunity to photograph Andy, Laura, O, and G. Two boys & two girls in this family creates a lot of life.   Portra 400 | Mamiya […]

Matthew & Louise

Matthew is a fantastic massage therapist in Prairie Village. More so, he and his wife Louise are supa-awesome people. Oh, and they have a lot of fun together.

Addink Family

I don’t even know where to start with telling you of this amazing, amazing family. (Yes, twice-amazing!) Our paths crossed over the past few months, and I just haven’t met many people with bigger hearts than these six individuals. Maybe they’ll start teaching a class on how to be a family, because we could all learn a lot from them.

Round Family

I got to meet this absolutely fantastic family last week and spend some time out in the gorgeous fall weather with them. How cute are these kids??

Fox and Family

I worked with Fox several years ago at a local ad agency. He was my supervisor for a while, and what a great boss he was. His family is all grown up, and they have four gorgeous grand kids. I got to spend some time with everyone the other day on one of these last beautiful days before the Kansas winter sets in.

Schmanke Family

I LOVE getting to work with the same families every year. We shot Terrilyn, Brian, E, and S at Shawnee Mission Park a couple years ago, so we decided it would be fun to go back and see how they’ve grown. And they have!

Katie, Brent & Family

As many of you know, I’ve been crazy busy preparing and opening my new event venue, The Prairie Room. As such, I haven’t been shooting or blogging as much as I should be. Now that the Prairie Room is up and running, it’s back to the blog! Back in March, I got to travel to Nassau, the Bahamas with my friends Katie and Brent to shoot their paradise wedding. I’m blogging a bit backwards, as this is the ultra fun family session we shot the day after the wedding. It was all kinds of fun. So much more to come […]

Smith Family

How fun is this family? And how cute are these kiddos? Check out the Smith family’s super-fun holiday photos!

The Keel Family

I’m so excited to share with you some favorites from my portrait session with the Keel family. Tim was the founding pastor of our church and has been a pastor, leader, and friend to so many of us. His entire family has had an amazing impact on the community here, and they’ll be missed as they head to NEW ZEALAND(!!) for the next chapter in their story. The Digital Harinezumi strikes again! Yes, I asked if a snowball fight was OK with mom.

A 1950’s Christmas

We did our first ever Christmas mini-session special this year, and it was a big hit. I built a 1950’s den inside the studio and everyone had a blast with something different for Christmas portraits this year. It was definitely a departure from “normal” for me! Here are a few samples from some of the sessions.

S and Her Mom and Dad

We scheduled this shoot several weeks ago for 10:00 AM, since it would surely be terribly hot at the end of July. But instead we had ANOTHER beautiful day. How cute is this little one? We scheduled this shoot several weeks ago. We set our time for 10:00 AM to make sure we beat the heat of the day. Of course it ended up being YET ANOTHER beautiful day — especially in the morning. How cute is this little one?

Jen, Dave, C, and B

You know those friends of yours? The ones you have know for a LONG time. The ones you KNOW you can call at any time day or night, and they’ll be there for you, no questions asked? Jen and Dave are those friends to us, and I’m so grateful for them. I truly hope you all have a Jen and Dave in your life. I got to spend some time with the whole clan last week in the June summer sun in Lawrence. I wish I got to spend more time with them than I do. These two kids are […]
