After that long, hot summer, Brooke & Gus ordered some perfect weather for their wedding weekend, and mother nature delivered! So much fun at the absolutely GORGEOUS (but boring named) Lenexa Conference Center.

100+ temperatures did NOT stop Laura, Zach, and their friends and family from having an awesome day!
You know what’s awesome? A beautiful, fun, thoughtful wedding. You know what’s also awesome? A beautiful, fun, thoughtful couple getting married. You know what’s awesomer than awesome? When you get both in the same day. After the ceremony at one of KC’s most beautiful churches (Visitation Parish), everyone headed down the road to Morgan’s mom and dad’s house for a reception under the stars…in a clear-roofed tent! Catering and event planning was all orchestrated by the talented folks at Webster House. Be sure to check out the sweet wedding film teaser from Maura.
I have been working on this for months, and I am ECSTATIC to finally unveil our new album! This is a completely hand-crafted album, locally produced here in the Crossroads Arts District. I start with a canvas cover and premium watercolor pages, all hand printed at my studio, then work with a local artisan to bind everything into a beautiful heirloom album. Our usual January album sale is a March/April album sale this year. From now through April 15, you can take 20% off any album…so if you were married or had a kiddo/family session last year, now is the […]
Rachel & Denis gave me my first opportunity to photograph a wedding at my new venue – The Prairie Room. And it was an absolutely beautiful event with so much rich heritage, love, community, and real life. I am truly honored to have been trusted to preserve this day for my new friends. I don’t often call out images shot by my second photographer. But Maria deserves tons o’ credit for this amazing shot of Rachel’s grandmother during Denis and Rachel’s first dance.
I don’t even know what to say about the unbelievable weekend that was Denis & Rachel’s wedding. So I won’t. Yet. Here are some Polaroids to get you by. Let me list some things I love: Lawrence, KU, The Oread, weddings, and really, really super-fantastic people. A couple weeks ago, I got the honor of photographing this entire list. Bill & Judy made Chris and me feel like members of the family. Such a fun day!
I knew that Jen & Jason’s wedding would be fun, but these two (and their friends and family) totally exceeded my expectations. Every detail was so beautiful and personal. From the giant inflatable heart (they’re BIG into hearts, it’s kinda their thing), to the standees on each table illustrating parts of their life together, to the place cards that tell stories about their favorite things…Their day was just perfect. After their ceremony at Redemptorist, we spent some time hitting Jen & Jay’s favorite spots around town. Next, the folks at the Madrid and Kansas City Catering did an amazing job […]
I waited a week to post film from Chelsea & Kevin’s wedding since I shot a roll of X-Pro and wanted to post it along with the instant photos. We had tons of fun wandering around town between their ceremony and reception. Here are a few analog shots! So much more to come, but here are some Polaroid & Impossible instant photos to tide you over. Polaroid 680SE, Impossible PX680 beta film Polaroid 680SE, Impossible PX600 2nd edition Polaroid 680SE, Impossible PX600 UV+, Black Frame
You might remember Hollie & Adam from their super-sweet First Friday and Grinder’s engagement photos. Well, the awesomeness continued to their wedding last Saturday. Despite some drizzle, these two and their friends and family celebrated with warmth and love. I had so much fun sharing the experience with them. After a beautiful ceremony at the Unity Temple on the Plaza, the wonderful folks at the Berg Event Space did their usual amazing job, as did the floral artists at Blue Bouquet. Unique and yummy dishes provided by La Bodega filled up everyone.
Some Polaroid and Impossible instant photos from this weekend! Congratulations to Hollie & Adam! Impossible PX680 Beta in a Polaroid 680SE Polaroid Type 100 Blue and Sepia in a Polaroid 600SE
Leah and Andy got married right before Christmas on a beautiful, cold day. The warmth of their friends and family more than made up for the cold outside. After getting married at Redemptorist Church, we went all over town with the bridal party for some fun portraits. The evening ended with a GORGEOUS reception at Dan Meiner’s new Pennway Place Event Space. Congratulations guys!
Jason & Bethany had the MOST BEAUTIFUL weather for their awesome, fun, sweet, gorgeous wedding at the Lodge at Ironwoods a few weeks ago. You can hope for a day like this in November in Kansas, but you’re pretty fortunate to get one 🙂 It takes some pretty special people to get me to work on a Sunday, and J&B definitely fit that bill. Oh yeah, just wait until you see their bridal portraits!! (coming soon)
Jessie and Chris had the most beautiful wedding with the most beautiful weather in beautiful Omaha. The Magnolia hotel was an amazing setting, and we had big time fun getting ice cream and going down the big slides at the park. And Jessie and Chris are two of the sweetest people. Congrats guys!
